I have been taking my 7 month red fox Labrador, Macy, to Nina for gundog sessions since December 2024. The difference in my puppy from the start has been incredible to experience. Each session both Macy and I learn so much about each other. Nina also helps me understand and identify my own behaviours towards Macy, which is such a big part of the training that I didn’t even realise! I honestly couldn’t recommend Nina enough, she is such a massive part of the bond and trust I’m continuing to build with Macy. Thank you Nina! We’ll see you at our next session!

This is Boot’s 3rd off site training, and what a difference it is making, Boots is reactive to other dogs, today was just amazing, we came across many dogs today, and there was no lunging or barking, she was aware of the other dogs but she did not react, with a lot of Nina’s tips and help we are now enjoying our walks, I would highly recommend.

My English pointer is lovely but super high-energy, excitable and easily distracted – I felt like I was invisible when out for a walk with her. I signed up for the Freedom and Focus programme and found Nina to be supportive, encouraging and always striving to find what worked for me and my dog- there was no sense of a ‘set way’ to approach training challenges.
We have now completed the course and while my dog isn’t off-lead (and may never be) I am no longer feeling a sense of frustration about this because we can have lots of fun doing all the training activities Nina has taught us. My dog is far more responsive and engaged with me and I am even getting admiring glances and comments from other owners! I now feel like I am in a partnership with my dog instead of us constantly pulling in different directions.
I highly recommend Nina if you have a dog that does not engage with you- she will try her best to find an approach and then it’s up to you to put the work in!”

I would highly recommend Nina, she works Holistically which is a huge bonus for me and she is the most kind and knowledgeable trainer. Our springer spaniel puppy is a little pickle on the lead at the moment and Nina educated not only us but our puppy on how to deal with this. Our puppy was so taken with Nina and gave Nina extra tail wags and bum wiggles.
The space in which Nina trains is a secure location so no worrying about your dog escaping. Has good parking right outside.

We are on the road to freedom and it’s exciting!!
We came to Nina towards the end of 2023 having been working very hard on our dog Dennis’ prey drive. We had already come a long way but we felt a bit stuck and needed help to progress further. We wanted to work with Dennis and use gundog training as a method to help with overcoming our Prey Drive challenges but I didn’t know where to begin. Nina has taught us so much already, she has been so good for Dennis and has helped us piece together the final puzzle and we’re only at the beginning. I can’t wait to work with her throughout 2024 and see what it holds for Dennis. We are on the road to freedom and it’s exciting!!

I found Nina extremely personable and a delight to have in the house for a one-to-one session. I needed some help with my kleptomaniac English Springer Spaniel, Pip, and her resource guarding issues! Nina is a great listener and she took on board what I’d done so far with Pip’s training, filling in the gaps for me and providing some invaluable insight into a dog’s thought process. It really helped to know that I was heading in the right direction, which gave me a confidence boost as well as the dog! She not only educated us on how to help with our Puppy’s training but also gave us both the confidence and reassurance on the best methods for loose leash walking. After three visits really turning a corner with new techniques and different ways of approaching things linking to the way the dog thinks and her instincts. So really working with the dog and not feeling its a ‘battle of wills’. I highly recommend Nina as well worthwhile and such a fun session too.”

We started training with Nina when our Black Labrador, Brinkley, was 10 months old. We had a list of things we wanted to work on, but the main focus was on recall and loose lead walking. With a week to go, I substituted my young Gordon Setter who has never done this before. Nina coached me by phone everyday and when we had the basics did an emergency 121 to polish the task and the heelwork and kept my spirits up to boot!
The day dawned – we’d achieved the complete task just two or three times. The ring was noisy, unfenced and in the middle of the access to a busy Open Dog Show and Horse Show, plus tannoys, flapping banners – you get the picture…
I would love to tell you the task was perfect – it wasn’t ! She went out found the object out of six others, picked it up but failed to bring it right back – coming in for a nice present and finish however. Her heelwork was lovely. In those conditions with just a weeks training and that much distraction I was very proud and can’t thank Nina enough for her phone coaching and amazing support.

We were prompted to call Nina when it was becoming difficult to take our two boys on walks. One was reactive, fearful, lots of barking and lunging and his brother started to copy/join in. Walking was anxiety invoking,stressful and not particularly enjoyable. We saw improvements from our first training session. Snoop and Bo responded to Nina’s magic straight away. Seeing the results, it was a no brainer to continue. We all have benefitted from training in the short time we have been doing it and will definitely continue. Where do I start? Nina is a wonderful person and reignited the bond I didn’t even realise was weakening between me and my Goldie. My mature bitch came into season early, a week before a team obedience event. We are the only pair who do the scentwork retrieve task in the team! With a week to go, I substituted my young Gordon Setter who has never done this before. Nina coached me by phone everyday and when we had the basics did an emergency 121 to polish the task and the heelwork and kept my spirits up to boot!
The day dawned – we’d achieved the complete task just two or three times. The ring was noisy, unfenced and in the middle of the access to a busy Open Dog Show and Horse Show, plus tannoys, flapping banners – you get the picture…
I would love to tell you the task was perfect – it wasn’t ! She went out found the object out of six others, picked it up but failed to bring it right back – coming in for a nice present and finish however. Her heelwork was lovely. In those conditions with just a weeks training and that much distraction I was very proud and can’t thank Nina enough for her phone coaching and amazing support.

It’s absolutely amazing to be able to work with Nina
We were prompted to call Nina when it was becoming difficult to take our two boys on walks. One was reactive, fearful, lots of barking and lunging and his brother started to copy/join in. Walking was anxiety invoking,stressful and not particularly enjoyable. We saw improvements from our first training session. Snoop and Bo responded to Nina’s magic straight away. Seeing the results, it was a no brainer to continue. We all have benefitted from training in the short time we have been doing it and will definitely continue. Not only do the dogs get taught but so do we. It’s absolutely amazing to be able to work with Nina and we would highly recommend her to anyone with dog training needs.

Nina has helped so much with training our Freddie (and me lol). Our last session, we moved on from the basics and started working more on Fred’s retrieval skills with the Dummy. He loves this and we now both have lots more work we can takeaway and practice. Nina has taught me so much with my young Springer. Have now had six springers, all different and Nina has supported me with a number of challenges with our number six!! e.g. bad lead pulling having exhausted other training methods, very high bird prey drive, poor recall. After three visits really turning a corner with new techniques and different ways of approaching things linking to the way the dog thinks and her instincts. So really working with the dog and not feeling its a ‘battle of wills’. I highly recommend Nina as well worthwhile and such a fun session too.
